Rainforest Falls Volunteer Central
Training
Training sessions will be August 13th at 6:30pm and August 16th at 2:00pm. All volunteers must attend one of these two sessions.
optimizing
Adult volunteers who have not been Plan to Protect certified through one of the host churches will be contacted with info on how to do so.
Roles
- Our Sixth Grade Leadership Team will be learning about what it means to be a leader and trying out a different role each day!
- Other role assignments will be given out at training sessions.
- If you would like to be involved in a skit, please email aline@openbiblesc.com as soon as possible.
Schedule
8:15- Morning Huddle
Huddle is at 8:00 AM on Monday.
8:30 - 8:55- Registration
· Doors open and kids are checked in and sent to
their group leaders.
8:55 - 9:25- Sing and Play Opening
- Opening ceremonies, songs, and skits
9:25 - 9:50- Games/Crafts/Snack
- Groups are split into 3 categories and will either go to play outdoor games, make cool crafts, or get a mid-morning snack and play games indoors!
9:50 - 10:20- Rooted Bible Adventures
Bible stories told by our talented storytellers and our daily BiblePoint.
10:20 - 10:45- Games/Crafts/Snack
10:45 - 11:10- Bible Buddy/Sticky Scriptures
- Every day, we meet a new Bible Buddy and then explore the Bible with them!
11:10 - 11:35- Games/Crafts/Snack
11:35 - 12:00- Canopy Closing
Closing ceremonies- highlight reels, songs, and recaps!
12:10- Daily Team Recap
Very short team meeting.
Special Days
Every day has a fun theme to dress up for!
Monday - Hat Day
Tuesday - Mismatched Socks Day
Wednesday - Crazy Hair Day
Thursday - Pajama Day
Friday - Favourite Colour Day
Notes
We will have bandanas to wear again this year.
There will be a Friday pizza lunch for volunteers and their children.
Everyone is invited to the Celebration Service and BBQ Bash at Trailview on August 23rd.
